Firm up and Love Your Curves: Three Ways to Look Great in that Special Dress

Firm up and Love Your Curves: Three Ways to Look Great in that Special Dress

We all have at least one clothing item we wished we looked better in. Take control of your body and your confidence with one of these three simple treatments we offer here at the Miami Center for Dermatology!

Shape Your Body With CoolSculpting

CoolSculpting is an FDA-cleared and nonsurgical procedure that uses cryolipolysis to freeze pockets of fat in areas such as under the chin, in the abdomen, in your arms, and many more.

Yes, you really can freeze the fat out of your body! Many of us want to keep fat in certain areas and lose it in others, but that’s pretty difficult to do with just a healthy diet or a rigid exercise regimen.

Therefore, it’s completely normal to experience trouble losing fat in these targeted areas because of the natural process of weight loss. This is why CoolSculpting actually works, as it doesn’t focus on weight loss—it focuses on fat loss.

It’s a scientifically proven way of introducing non-invasive fat reduction in the areas you want and keep it in the areas you don’t. In as little as one session, you can see up to 20-25% reduction in fat layer thickness, and you may even see results in as little as 1 to 3 months. However, we recommend getting more than one session to achieve the best results.

With noninvasive fat reduction, you can freeze fat in targeted areas of your body to get that sculpted look.

Firm up With CoolTone

Similar to CoolSculpting, CoolTone is completely nonsurgical, FDA-cleared, and can target specific areas of your body.

Unlike CoolSculpting’s noninvasive fat reduction technology, however, CoolTone is used for muscle contouring, and it uses Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS) technology.

Ultimately, this strengthens, tones, and firms the muscles of the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs.

MMS features liquid-cooled applicators and is able to penetrate through the layer of fat and strengthen your muscles, giving you that coveted toned look.

With MMS technology instead of noninvasive fat reduction in CoolSculpting, CoolTone can trigger stronger (but safe and effective) muscle contractions than the natural ones your brain produces, recruiting more muscle fibers.

This selective delivery of strong pulses to your muscle tissues involves no cutting or surgical scissors, and it definitely doesn’t involve all the sweat that comes with going to the gym.

While you may be thinking that these results can be achieved by simply going to the gym or getting in some good workouts, in reality, many of us exercise regularly but still are not able to achieve the level of tone that CoolTone can provide.

If you’re tired of consistently working out and not seeing consistent results, CoolTone can genuinely help.

While it does not include noninvasive fat reduction like CoolSculpting, CoolTone is a perfect follow-up procedure to freezing away any unwanted fat. After getting rid of the fat, you can use this body contouring technology to your advantage and tone your body up!

Trade-in Your Razor for Laser

Last but certainly not least, we highly recommend laser hair removal as a way to love your body and be more confident without unwanted hair.

Through selective photo thermolysis (SPTL), our team at the Miami Center for Dermatology can help you stop having to shave and remove body hair through these treatments.

This process helps patients that want to reduce hair growth almost anywhere on their body. By shining highly-concentrated light energy into the hair follicles, the pigment in the follicles absorbs the light, effectively destroying the hair.
