Are You a Patient Suffering from Hyperhidrosis? We Can Help!

Vitiligo Treatment

If your body has begun to sweat when you are not active or feeling hot, then you may be suffering from hyperhidrosis. This condition is marked by excessive sweating in the underarms, palms, head, or other parts of the body when you do not need to be cooled off. It can interfere with daily activities and be an overall embarrassing condition to deal with. At Miami Center for Dermatology, whether you need Vitiligo Treatment or hyperhidrosis treatment, our staff of professionals is ready to assist you in any way that you need.

There are two different types of hyperhidrosis, primary focal and secondary. Primary focal hyperhidrosis usually only affects one or two areas of the body, such as the hands, feet, head, or underarms. When it happens, both sides of the body are affected the same so both palms or underarms will begin to sweat profusely. It also happens at least once a week and usually started when you were a child. Unlike secondary hyperhidrosis, this is not caused by an outside factor. The sweating itself is the medical condition. Whether you need hyperhidrosis or Vitiligo Treatment, our staff is trained and equipped to treat you effectively.

Unlike primary focal hyperhidrosis, secondary hyperhidrosis is caused by an outside factor such as a medicine or another medical condition. Conditions that can cause excessive sweating include diabetes, obesity, gout, hyperthyroidism, and more. When you come into our office, our staff will look to find the cause of your hyperhidrosis, so having a list of any medications you are taking or any other medical conditions you have may help them find the cause faster. If you have any questions or concerns about our treatments, our staff will be happy to sit down and answer them for you.
