Broadband Light Therapy (BBL)
Our skin can become dull and wrinkled for many reasons. Sun exposure, harsh chemicals, pollution, and the aging process all impact our skin’s appearance and health.
BroadBand Light Therapy (BBL) acts as a multi-tasking treatment that can help reduce the appearance of age spots to sun damage.
BBL is a noninvasive laser treatment that improves and treats a variety of skin conditions. By utilizing light energy, BBL delivers pulses of light into the skin’s upper levels to stimulate collagen production and reduce pigmented lesions.
BBL treatment is ideal for the face, neck, chest, and hands. However, it can be used on virtually any area of the skin.
Our team from Miami Center for Dermatology can create a customized BBL treatment plan for your skin concerns.
Forever Young BBL
Forever Young BBL by Sciton is a laser treatment designed specifically to improve the tone and texture of the skin on the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands. It is the only device that can change the expression of genes commonly associated with age and longevity.
By undergoing regular Forever Young BBL treatments, patients can achieve the clear, smooth, youthful skin this therapy offers with ease.
Here are some of the BBL’s benefits:
- Zero downtime – Patients can return to normal day-to-day activities immediately.
- Long-lasting results
- Fast treatment takes about 15 minutes for a full-face treatment. However, this does depend on unique patient conditions.
Forever Clear BBL
Forever Clear BBL is the state-of-the-art, light-based acne treatment that can clear skin without relying on harsh chemicals or pills.
BBL therapy using light energy targets acne-causing bacteria on the surface of the skin, in addition to deep within the pores.
Forever Clear BBL stimulates the cells and the natural regenerative processes of the body to improve one’s overall appearance.
As a result, patients experience clear, healthy, and youthful-looking skin.
What to Expect
Patients coming in for BBL treatment will receive a safety shield or glasses to protect them during the BroadBand Light therapy.
A session typically lasts 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the skin condition, as well as the area receiving treatment.
Once the session is over, the patient may experience some minor, temporary inflammation for a day or two.
However, BBL therapy most often involves little to no downtime. In most cases, patients may even apply makeup directly to treated areas once the procedure is complete.
For the best results, patients may require several treatments.
A consultation with our team from the Miami Center for Dermatology can determine the proper number of treatments to achieve the best results. The number of needed treatments for a patient’s needs will vary, and some individuals may require follow-up treatments every month to six months to maintain the best possible results.
