Post-holiday season, your skin is probably ready for a reset! Many of us indulged in holiday foods and drinks that aren’t part of our regular diet. Many of us traveled during the holiday. The lack of sleep from holiday parties, shopping, and entertaining had an effect too. Now is the time to take a deep breath and revitalize your complexion with a few of these facial treatments, tips, and tricks!
Combat Dryness With These Facial Treatments
If you went on a trip during the holidays, you probably noticed a change in your skin. Air travel or being in different climates can cause dryness and dehydration for several reasons.
For one, traveling in airplanes causes skin dryness and sensitivity around the eyes, nose, and mouth because of the abnormally low humidity. Humidity is essentially the amount of water vapor that’s present in the air, and it can fluctuate depending on where you are.
Typically, your skin is probably exposed to over 30% humidity inside your home, but the humidity in airplanes is usually less than 20%. That’s a huge difference, especially if you’re used to the humid, tropical climate of Miami, Florida. With such a drastic change in humidity, it’s no wonder our skin feels drier after a few hours on a plane.
To combat this, we offer an array of facial treatments to nourish the skin and bring back the moisture it craves. The Hydrafacial, for example, is one of our facial treatments that can do this for your skin, as it uses the latest in non-laser skin resurfacing technology.
By using a hydra-dermabrasion procedure to simultaneously cleanse, exfoliate, and extract impurities from the skin, your face will feel moisturized and refreshed. The Hydrafacial also provides antioxidants to protect your skin from harmful free radicals.
We also recommend the Longwill Signature Facial. This is one of our customized facial treatments that provides the ultimate pampering experience. We begin by cleansing the face with a gentle foam cleanser, and then we apply a mild glycolic acid product to tone and exfoliate the skin. We follow this with a soothing facial massage to stimulate the skin, and then we apply a coconut and papaya enzyme product while under steam.
After extractions, we mist the face with our custom Soothing Green Tea Mist, and we apply a collagen mask that’s left on the skin for 15 minutes. After a luxurious foot massage, we apply our custom eye cream and an anti-aging ampoule to help fine lines and wrinkles. At the end of the treatment, we lightly massage your skin with our tinted sunscreen.

Get Rid of Those Dark Circles
Post-holiday vacation, you’re probably also tired from jet lag and lack of sleep. Dark circles are a common symptom of lack of sleep, and they tend to make people look older than they are.
To help with this, we recommend our Eye Rejuvenation Cream, a deeply moisturizing retinol eye cream that helps smooth fine lines and wrinkles while also minimizing dark circles and puffiness. State-of-the-art microcirculation ingredients combines All-trans-Retinol, green tea, arnica, and vitamin K along with a system of chelators and peptides to deliver maximum results. We recommend applying it around the eyes once or twice a day, or as directed by your physician.
Other facial treatments we recommend are applying a cold compress to reduce swelling around the eyes or using tea bags. Gently holding tea bags in place under your eyes can help improve the appearance of dark circles.
The caffeine and antioxidants in the bags will stimulate blood circulation and reduce puffiness. Soak the tea bags in hot water for five minutes and then let them chill in the fridge for fifteen to twenty minutes. Apply the cold tea bags under your eyes for ten to twenty minutes and then rinse the area with cool water.
