If you’ve tried every cleanser, cream, and toner in the book and nothing has worked for your acne, meet the revolutionary laser treatment for acne.
How Can Lasers Help Improve Acne?
Acne is a problem virtually everyone will struggle with at some point. Whether it’s during puberty or your adult years, acne doesn’t have an expiration date or any specific reason why it occurs. It could be your hormones, genetics, your diet, and other factors that cause your breakouts. And anti-acne skincare products aren’t a one-size-fits-all solution.
BroadBand Light Therapy (BBL) has long been an effective laser treatment at our office. This multi-tasking treatment can help a various skin conditions, reducing the appearance of age spots, sun damage, and other stubborn skin conditions.
By utilizing light energy, BBL delivers light pulses into the skin’s upper levels to stimulate collagen production and reduce pigmented lesions. When your skin produces more collagen, it will feel bouncier, appear smoother and more youthful, and reduce old skin marks and scars by renewing your skin cells.
BroadBand Light Therapy is ideal for the face, neck, chest, and hands. However, it can be used on virtually any area of the skin. That’s where their laser treatment for acne comes in!
Forever Clear BBL
Forever Clear BBL is the state-of-the-art, light-based laser treatment for acne that can clear skin without relying on harsh chemicals or pills. This form of BBL therapy uses light energy to target acne-causing bacteria on the surface of the skin, in addition to deep within the pores.
Forever Clear BBL stimulates the cells and the natural regenerative processes of the body to improve one’s overall appearance. This is similar to the original BBL, but it’s specifically for patients struggling with acne. As a result, patients experience clear, healthy, and youthful-looking skin.
What to Expect
Because this BBL treatment utilizes laser technology, you’ll receive a safety shield or glasses to protect your eyes during the BroadBand Light therapy. One session typically lasts 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the skin condition you’re treating, as well as the area you’re treating during that session.
Once the session is over, the patient may experience some minor, temporary inflammation for a day or two. However, our laser treatment for acne often involves little to no downtime. In most cases, patients may even apply makeup directly to treated areas once the procedure is complete.
For the best results, patients may require several treatments. Once you have a consultation with our team from the Miami Center for Dermatology, we can determine the proper number of treatments for your skin to achieve the best results. The number of treatments for each patient’s needs will vary, and some individuals may require follow-up treatments every month to six months to maintain the best possible results.
